Una pequeña customización sobre una maqueta de una VW T1 13 ventanas estilo rat con calcas militares de la U.S. Air Force.

Pruebas con metalflake / Metalflake tests

Algunas pruebas sobre un trozo de chapa con metalflake mezclado sobre barniz incoloro. Por un lado con una base plata y por el otro diréctamente sobre el óxido. En las fotos no se aprecia mucho, la verdad.
Some tests over a metal sheet with metalflake mixed up with transparent lacquer. On one side over a silver base, and on the other over the rusty surface. Pics don't tell much.

Directamente sobre el óxido. Con el brillo no se aprecia la diferencia.

Casco Custom /Custom helmet

Me encontré este viejo casco "Zaice" en el garaje y he pensado en darle una nueva vida, aunque sólo sea como objeto decorativo. Estaba muy sucio y con la visera rota y no sé si el forro interior se podrá salvar pero por lo menos la calota servirá de lienzo para practicar.

I found this old "Zaice" helmet in my garage and I thought of giving it a new life, although as a decorative object. It was very dirty and it had the visor broken, and I don't know if the inner lining is going to be saved, but at least the shell can be used as a blank canvas to practice.

Después de quitar los remaches y el interior.

La calota creo que está hecha de fibra de vidrio y poliéster.
I think the shell is made of polyester with glassfiber.

Tras limpiar un poco la calota (¡parece un huevo!).

Mesilla de noche / Bedside table

Me encontré una vieja mesilla de noche en casa de mis abuelos y pensé en restaurarla y personalizarla un poco. Primero la lijé completamente y pinté toda la superficie con un color marfil para el interior y para las zonas desgastadas del exterior. Después pinté el exterior con pintura negro mate. Tras esto, lijé algunas zonas para dar un efecto pátina "falso". Cambié los tiradores y bisagras y añadí una decoración del rótulo de la cerveza Guinness.

I found this old bedside table in my grandparents house and I thought about restoring and customizing it. Firstly I sanded and painted it all with ivory colour for the interior and the patina effect of the outside. After that I painted the outside with matt (flat) black. Then I sanded some areas to add the "fake" patina effect. I changed the ironwork knobs and added the Guinness beer logo.

Así me encontré la mesita y la empecé a lijar para ver cómo estaba.
This is how I found the bedside table so I started sanding it to see how it really was.

 

Pintura marfil para el interior y negro mate para el exterior.
Ivory paint for the inside and matt black for the outside.

Después de lijar para añadir un falso efecto pátina.

Pensé en usar un swordliner para la firma, pero el trazo era muy grueso.
I thought about using a swordliner for the signature but it was too wide.

Caja para pinceles / Brush box

Este es mi primer ensayo con pan de oro y fileteado con unos resultados no muy buenos, pero bueno, espero ir mejorando. Se trata de un rótulo sobre una caja de madera para guardar pinceles.

This is my first attempt of design with gold leaf and outline pinstriping with a bit disappointing results, but I hope it'll get better. It's a lettering over a wooden box to keep my brushes in.
